Universe
Four read-only catalog endpoints, all under /v1: which exchanges, assets, and trading pairs the API actually has data for. Use these to discover valid exchange/base/quote values before calling the OHLCV endpoints, instead of hardcoding them.
Conventions
- Unlike
exchange_ohlcv/aggregated_ohlcv, these four endpoints are public — noX-API-Keyheader, no plan check, and calls here are never counted in your usage. See Authentication. - A successful response is a bare JSON array — no wrapper object, no total count.
- On
exchange_pairs/aggregated_pairs, anexchange, interval, ormethodvalue that doesn't resolve to a known one returns404— not an empty array. A required parameter left out returns422instead (FastAPI's own validation) — see Errors & rate limits. first_close_ts/last_close_tsare that pair's earliest and latestclose_tsunder whatever filters scoped the call — they describe actual data coverage, not a schedule, and don't promise the range is gap-free.
GET /v1/exchanges
Every exchange the API has data for. No parameters.
GET /v1/assets
Every asset the API has data for — ticker is the canonical value to use as base/quote elsewhere (e.g. BTC, never a raw exchange symbol like XBT). No parameters.
GET /v1/exchange_pairs
Every (base, quote) pair with at least one candle in exchange_ohlcv for one exchange and interval.
GET /v1/aggregated_pairs
Every (base, quote) pair with at least one candle in aggregated_ohlcv for one interval. No exchange parameter — aggregation combines every contributing exchange by definition, see GET /v1/aggregated_ohlcv.
